ROADLOK for the Suzuki GSX-R1000: which integrated disc lock fits

The Suzuki GSX-R1000 takes the ROADLOK XRA-108R on the model years listed below. Other years are marked where the lock does not fit or has not been checked.

ROADLOK is an integrated disc lock. The lock body bolts to the front brake caliper and stays on the bike. When you park, you insert the BrakeBolt™ locking pin through the brake disc and turn the key. When you ride, the BrakeBolt is in your pocket, not in the lock.

Source: the ROADLOK fitment database, version v119, built 12 Oct 2026. "Fits" is a fitment ROADLOK has confirmed on that bike or on its caliper. "Fits (likely)" is read from the same caliper on a sibling model. Confirm with a photo before ordering if you are unsure. "Not yet checked" means we have no reading for that year: send us a photo of the front caliper from beside the bike and we will answer.

Installation

The lock is installed on the bike's braking system. ROADLOK recommends installation by a trained technician or a dealership. The front wheel stays on the bike. XRA Installation Manual, installation guide for your phone, XRA Spacer Reference, mounting bolts, thread pitch, depth and torque, BrakeBolt Pin Troubleshooting.

Spacer selection: start from the spacer in the table if one is given, otherwise the shortest spacer that lets the lock body clear the caliper. Hand-tighten the bolts, insert the BrakeBolt, and roll the bike forward or backward until the BrakeBolt clicks through a disc hole, normally within a few centimeters. If it hasn't passed through a hole within a quarter turn of the front wheel, take both bolts out and try the next longer spacer. A 1 mm shim on each bolt, next to the spacer, gives a final 1 mm adjustment. Torque the bolts last, with a medium-strength threadlocker such as Loctite 243, to the figure in your bike's owner's manual or workshop manual.

Short answers

Which side does the ROADLOK mount on a Suzuki GSX-R1000? On a twin-disc bike either side works, and we recommend the right, away from the side stand. On a single-disc bike it goes on the side the disc is on. The table gives the side for each row.

Do I need to buy a mounting kit? No. New locks already come with all the mounting hardware they need, and a kit is only needed when a lock moves to another bike.

Is the BrakeBolt in the lock while I ride? No. The BrakeBolt goes in only when the bike is parked. While you ride, it's on its lanyard or in your pocket. The dust plug fills the BrakeBolt chamber, and the rubber lock cylinder cap loops over the head of the dust plug and covers the keyhole.

What if I forget the BrakeBolt is in and try to ride off? If you start to ride off with the BrakeBolt still in, the front wheel stays locked and the bike just stalls. The lock can't turn with the disc the way a loose disc lock does. That keeps rider and bike clear of the damage a forgotten disc lock can do.

My year is not in the table. Use the fitment checker, or email support@roadlok.com with the year, model and a photo of the front caliper from beside the bike.
