Privacy policy

Last updated: 29 August 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how New Hampton Technologies, LLC, trading as ROADLOK ("ROADLOK", "we", "us"), collects, uses and shares personal information when you visit www.roadlokinternational.com (the "Site"), buy from us, register a product, or contact us. It applies to visitors and customers worldwide. Where the law of your country gives you additional rights, such as the GDPR in the European Union, the UK GDPR in the United Kingdom, or the CCPA in California, those rights are described below.

What we collect

Information you give us

  • Order information: your name, billing and shipping address, email address, phone number, and payment details. Card numbers are handled by our payment processors and are not stored by us.
  • Account information, if you create a customer account.
  • Product registration information: your name, email, the lock's serial number and key code, the date and place of purchase, and your motorcycle's make, model and year.
  • Fitment enquiries and support requests: whatever you send us, which is usually your motorcycle's make, model and year, and sometimes photographs of your brake caliper.
  • Reviews, comments and other content you choose to submit.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site we and our service providers collect device information: your IP address, browser type, time zone, the pages you view, the products you look at, what you put in your cart, which site or search term referred you, and how you interact with the Site. This is collected with cookies, pixels, log files and similar technologies. The Site is hosted on Shopify, which sets cookies needed to run the store, remember your cart, keep you signed in and prevent fraud. A current list of Shopify's cookies is at www.shopify.com/legal/cookies. We also use Shopify's built-in analytics and Loox, a product review service, which sets its own cookies when you read or write a review.

How we use it

  • to process and ship your order, take payment, and send order and shipping confirmations
  • to keep a record of registered locks so we can supply replacement keys and barrels to the registered owner and handle warranty claims
  • to answer fitment questions and support requests
  • to screen orders for fraud and comply with legal obligations, including tax and customs requirements
  • to improve the Site and our products, including understanding which products and pages people look at
  • to send you information about ROADLOK products, where you have agreed to receive it or where the law allows. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any marketing email.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who need it to do work for us, and only for that purpose:

  • Shopify, which hosts the Site and processes orders (Shopify's privacy policy: www.shopify.com/legal/privacy)
  • payment processors, including Shopify Payments and PayPal, to take payment and screen for fraud
  • our order fulfilment partners in the United States, which store, pack and ship orders
  • ShipStation and the carriers we use, including USPS, UPS and DHL, to ship your order and provide tracking
  • email and messaging providers we use to send order notifications and, if you have opted in, marketing
  • Loox, which hosts product reviews and, after a purchase, emails you to ask for a review
  • professional advisers, and government authorities, customs agencies or courts where the law requires it

We may also share information in connection with a merger, sale or transfer of our business, subject to this policy.

We may share aggregated information that does not identify you, for example how many customers ride a particular model.

International transfers

We are based in the United States and our service providers store data in the United States and other countries. If you are in the EU, UK or another jurisdiction with data transfer rules, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. Shopify and our other providers rely on approved transfer mechanisms, such as standard contractual clauses, for these transfers.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as we need them for tax, accounting and warranty purposes, generally seven years. We keep product registration records, including serial numbers and key codes, for the life of the lock so that we can service it. We keep fitment enquiries and support correspondence for as long as they are useful to answer follow-up questions. We delete or anonymise information when we no longer need it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have the right to ask us what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to receive a copy of it in a portable form, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise these rights, email support@roadlok.com. We will verify your identity before acting on a request and respond within the time the law requires. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

California residents. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act you have the right to know what personal information we collect, use and disclose, to request its deletion, to correct it, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. To make a request, email support@roadlok.com. You may authorise an agent to make a request on your behalf.

EU and UK residents. We process your information because it is necessary to perform our contract with you (orders, registration, warranty), because we have a legitimate interest (fraud prevention, improving the Site, answering enquiries), to comply with legal obligations, or with your consent (marketing). You may withdraw consent at any time.

Cookies

You can set your browser to refuse cookies or to alert you when a cookie is set. If you do, some parts of the Site, including the cart and checkout, may not work. Where the law requires it, the Site will ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies.

Children

The Site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use Shopify's hosting, which encrypts data in transit and at rest, and we limit access to personal information to the people and providers who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
