Terms of service

Last updated: 10 October 2026

1. Who we are and what these terms cover

This website, www.roadlokinternational.com (the "Site"), is operated by New Hampton Technologies, LLC, a California limited liability company trading as ROADLOK ("ROADLOK", "we", "us"). Our mailing address is 324 S Beverly Dr, Suite 415, Beverly Hills, CA 90212, United States. You can reach us at support@roadlok.com.

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your use of the Site and every purchase you make through it. By using the Site or placing an order you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, our Shipping Policy and our Refund Policy, which are part of these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

Nothing in these Terms limits rights that you cannot waive under the consumer protection law of the country or state where you live. If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, your statutory rights, including any right of withdrawal for distance purchases, are not affected by anything in these Terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to place an order. By ordering you confirm that you are, and that the information you give us is accurate and complete.

3. Products, fitment and your responsibility

ROADLOK locks mount to the front brake caliper of a motorcycle and fit radial-mounted calipers only. Fitment depends on the caliper's mounting-bolt spacing, which side of the motorcycle the caliper is on, and in some cases the make of the motorcycle (BMW and Harley-Davidson models use different mounting hardware from other makes).

The fitment information on the Site, including the fitment checker, is provided to help you choose the right product. It is based on motorcycles as delivered by the manufacturer. Before ordering you are responsible for confirming fitment with the fitment checker, or for measuring your caliper's bolt spacing and confirming the side, following the instructions on the Site. If your motorcycle is not in the fitment checker, or you are not sure, contact us with your make, model and year before you order and we will confirm fitment in writing.

We do not guarantee fitment on motorcycles with aftermarket brake calipers, discs, wheels or other braking components, or on motorcycles that have been modified from the manufacturer's specification.

If we have confirmed in writing that a product fits your motorcycle and it does not, we will exchange it or refund it at no cost to you as set out in the Refund Policy. If you selected the product yourself and it does not fit, the standard return terms in the Refund Policy apply.

ROADLOK products are also sold by authorized distributors and dealers in some countries. Purchases made from them are governed by their terms, not these Terms. The ROADLOK warranty described in section 7 applies to them as well.

4. Orders, prices and payment

All prices on the Site are in United States dollars. Prices exclude shipping, which is shown at checkout, and exclude any import duties, customs fees or taxes charged in the destination country (see the Shipping Policy). Where we are required to collect sales tax, it is calculated and shown at checkout.

Your order is an offer to buy. We accept it when we send you a shipping confirmation. We may decline or cancel an order at any time before shipment, for example where a product is unavailable, where we identify a pricing or listing error, where payment cannot be verified, where the order appears to be for resale, or where we have reason to believe the product will not fit the motorcycle you have told us about. If we cancel an order after payment we will refund it in full.

We try to keep prices, descriptions and availability accurate, but errors happen. If a product is listed at an incorrect price we may contact you to confirm the order at the correct price or cancel it and refund you.

Payment is taken at the time of ordering through the payment methods shown at checkout. You confirm that you are authorized to use the payment method you provide.

5. Made-to-order items

Replacement keys, custom-cut keys and replacement lock cylinders are made to order against the key code and serial number you supply. They are dispatched within the time stated on the product page (currently 2 to 3 weeks for keys) and, because they are cut to your code, cannot be returned or exchanged except where defective. We supply replacement keys and lock cylinders only for a lock whose key code and serial number you can provide, and we may ask for proof of purchase or registration first.

6. Shipping, risk and title

Shipping options, costs and estimated times are set out in the Shipping Policy. Estimated delivery times are estimates. Title to the products passes to you when we receive payment in full. Risk of loss passes to you when the products are delivered to the address you gave us. If a shipment is lost or damaged in transit, contact us within the time limits in the Lost or damaged shipments section of the Shipping Policy and we will work with the carrier to resolve it.

7. Limited Lifetime Warranty

ROADLOK products are covered by the ROADLOK Limited Lifetime Warranty, published in full at roadlok.com/warranty. The version of the warranty in effect on the date of purchase governs any claim. This section summarizes it, and if this summary and the warranty differ, the warranty governs.

  • Lock body, BrakeBolt, keys and mounting hardware: limited lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship, for the original owner.
  • Lock cylinder: 2 years from the original purchase, with routine care as described in the Lock Cylinder: Care, Troubleshooting and Replacement guide at roadlok.com/documentation.
  • Dust plug, rubber lock cylinder cap and lanyard: not covered. These are maintenance items.

The warranty covers the original end-user purchaser of a ROADLOK product bought from us or from an authorized ROADLOK dealer or distributor, and it is not transferable. It does not cover normal wear and cosmetic damage, damage from an accident or impact, improper installation, use on a motorcycle for which the product is not specified, modification or disassembly, non-genuine replacement parts, chemical exposure, damage from an attempted or completed theft, or misuse, including riding or attempting to ride the motorcycle with the BrakeBolt in the lock. The full list of exclusions is in the warranty.

To make a warranty claim, email support@roadlok.com with your proof of purchase, a description of the defect and photographs. We may ask you to send the product to us for inspection, at your expense unless we agree otherwise, and we will tell you about any service fee before we proceed. If the claim is covered, we will repair or replace the product or component, or issue a credit toward a replacement, at our option.

Any implied warranties, including the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are limited in duration to the duration of the written warranty for the component concerned. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so this limitation may not apply to you. If you are a consumer in the European Union, the United Kingdom or another country with statutory consumer guarantees, the warranty is in addition to your statutory rights and does not affect them.

8. Product use and safety

ROADLOK products are theft deterrents. No lock can prevent every theft, and we do not guarantee that a motorcycle fitted with a ROADLOK will not be stolen or damaged. We recommend using a ROADLOK together with other precautions appropriate to where the motorcycle is kept.

You are responsible for installing the product correctly, following the instructions supplied with it and on the Site, and for inspecting the mounting hardware periodically, including during routine brake servicing. You must remove the BrakeBolt™ locking pin before riding. The product is designed so that a motorcycle cannot be ridden away with the BrakeBolt in the lock, but moving or riding a motorcycle with the BrakeBolt in the lock can damage the lock, the brake disc, the caliper or the motorcycle, and may cause injury. Never modify the product, use hardware other than that supplied, or use the product on a motorcycle for which it was not specified.

You use the product at your own risk. ROADLOK is installed on your bike's braking system, and improper installation can cause serious injury or death. We recommend installation by a trained technician or a dealership. The full installation warning is in the XRA Installation Manual.

9. Product registration and keys

We encourage you to register your lock's serial number and key code at roadlok.com/registration once the lock is installed. Registration lets us supply replacement keys and lock cylinders and speeds up warranty service. We keep key codes on record for this purpose and disclose them to no one other than the registered owner, as described in our Privacy Policy. Keep a private record of your key code. Replacement keys are supplied only to the registered owner or a person who can prove ownership.

10. Intellectual property

ROADLOK, BrakeBolt and the ROADLOK logo are trademarks of New Hampton Technologies, LLC. ROADLOK products are protected by patents including U.S. Patents 7,467,530 and 7,707,861. All content on the Site, including text, images, video, product data and fitment information, belongs to us or our licensors. You may view and print Site content for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, reproduce, scrape, republish or use Site content, including fitment data, for any commercial purpose without our written permission.

11. Site content and third-party links

The Site may contain typographical errors, inaccuracies or omissions, including in product descriptions, pricing and availability. We may correct errors and update information at any time without notice. The Site may link to third-party websites that we do not control. We are not responsible for their content or practices.

If you submit a review, photograph, comment or other content to the Site or to us, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, reproduce, edit and publish it in connection with our business, and you confirm that you own it and that it does not infringe anyone's rights. We may remove any submitted content at our discretion.

12. Acceptable use

You may not use the Site for any unlawful purpose, to infringe our or anyone else's intellectual property, to transmit malicious code, to collect or track personal information of others, to scrape or harvest Site content or data, to interfere with the Site's security or operation, or to place fraudulent orders. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site for violating these Terms.

13. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties about the Site, express or implied, including that it will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ROADLOK, its members, managers, employees, contractors and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of use, loss of the motorcycle, theft, or damage to property, arising out of your use of the Site or the products, however caused. Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the Site, these Terms or a product will not exceed the amount you paid us for the product concerned. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of these limits may not apply to you.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ROADLOK and its members, managers, employees and contractors from any claim, loss or expense, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Site or a product, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

15. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms, and any dispute arising out of or relating to them, the Site or a product, are governed by the laws of the State of California and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the mandatory consumer protection law of the place where you live gives you greater rights.

Informal resolution first. If you have a dispute with us, contact us at support@roadlok.com with a description of the problem and what you would like us to do. We will try to resolve it with you within 30 days.

Arbitration. If we cannot resolve a dispute informally, you and ROADLOK agree that the dispute will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, rather than in court. The Federal Arbitration Act governs this section. The arbitration will be conducted by a single arbitrator, in English, and may take place by video, telephone or written submissions, or in person in Los Angeles County, California, or in the county where you live. ROADLOK will pay the arbitration filing and arbitrator fees to the extent required by the AAA Consumer Arbitration Rules. The arbitrator's decision is final and may be entered as a judgment in any court with jurisdiction.

Exceptions. Either of us may bring an individual claim in small claims court if it qualifies. Either of us may seek an injunction in court to protect intellectual property. Nothing in this section prevents you from seeking public injunctive relief where the law entitles you to it, and nothing in it prevents you from making a complaint to a government agency.

Class action waiver. You and ROADLOK agree that claims may be brought only in an individual capacity and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective or representative proceeding, and the arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person's claims. If this waiver is found unenforceable as to a particular claim, that claim will be decided by a court and not by arbitration.

Opt-out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing support@roadlok.com within 30 days of your first purchase, stating your name, order number and that you opt out of arbitration. Opting out does not affect any other part of these Terms.

Courts. For any matter not subject to arbitration, you and ROADLOK agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts in Los Angeles County, California, unless the consumer protection law of the place where you live requires otherwise.

Notice to California residents. Under California Civil Code section 1789.3, you may contact the Complaint Assistance Unit of the Division of Consumer Services of the California Department of Consumer Affairs in writing at 1625 North Market Blvd., Suite N 112, Sacramento, CA 95834, or by telephone at (800) 952-5210.

16. General

We may update these Terms at any time by posting the revised version on the Site with a new "Last updated" date. The version in force when you place an order applies to that order. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce any part of these Terms is not a waiver. These Terms, together with the policies they reference, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Site and your purchases. You may not assign your rights under these Terms. We may assign ours to a successor of our business.

Questions about these Terms: support@roadlok.com, or by post to New Hampton Technologies, LLC, 324 S Beverly Dr, Suite 415, Beverly Hills, CA 90212, United States.
